About the charades generator
Charades needs no equipment, just good ideas to act out. This generator keeps the word hidden until the actor taps to see it, then a countdown runs while the team guesses. Six categories (animals, actions, jobs, sports, things and places, and feelings) suit players from about age 5 up.
Charades rules in brief
- No talking, no sounds and no pointing at objects in the room.
- Show the category first (e.g. pretend to be an animal).
- The team that guesses within the time scores a point.
- For young children, let them make noises: it’s more fun.
