About these sentence structure worksheets
A sentence needs a subject and a predicate and must make sense on its own. These worksheets practise spotting complete sentences and fragments, finding the subject and predicate, sorting the four types (statement, question, command, exclamation) and recognising compound sentences.
What the worksheet covers
The question bank for this topic has 4 sentences to rewrite, 8 items to sort and 8 multiple-choice questions. Each worksheet mixes a selection, so no two are the same.

Frequently asked questions
What is a sentence fragment?
A group of words that looks like a sentence but is missing a subject, a verb or a complete thought, such as “Because it was late.”
Can I choose the kinds of questions?
Yes. Switch each section on or off (matching, fill in the blanks, true or false, multiple choice and more) and choose how many questions go in each.
Can I print it in black and white?
Yes. The worksheet uses light tints that print clearly in grey, or pick the grey colour theme.
Will every worksheet be the same?
