How the days are counted
The count starts from today on your device and doesn’t include today. If today is Monday and the date is Friday, there are 4 days to go. The live clock counts down to midnight at the start of the chosen day in your time zone; if your event starts later that day, you have those extra hours too.
Pick a date in the past and the calculator switches to days since: useful for anniversaries, streaks or how long ago something happened.
Weeks, months and working days
- In weeks: 100 days is 14 weeks and 2 days.
- In months: calendar months and the days left over, counted from today.
- Working days left: the days strictly between today and the date that aren’t weekends. Arabic pages use a Friday–Saturday weekend; others Saturday–Sunday.
Public holidays aren’t subtracted. If you need them out, the working days calculator lets you add each one.

How many days until a date?
The calculator counts from today on your device to the date you pick, not including today. If it’s Monday and the date is Friday, that’s 4 days.
Can it count days since a date?
Yes. Pick a past date and it shows how many days ago it was, for example since you started a job or a habit.
Why does the clock count to midnight?
A date has no time of day, so the clock counts down to the start of that day in your time zone. If your event starts at 7 pm, it really has 19 more hours.
What are working days left?
Days between today and the date that aren’t weekends, useful for work deadlines. Public holidays aren’t subtracted; the working days calculator can do that.
