Count business days, not calendar days
Deadlines, delivery times, notice periods and payment terms are often set in working days. This calculator counts the working days between two dates, leaving out weekends and the public holidays you add, or finds the date that’s a number of working days before or after a given day.

Counting between two dates
Both the start and end dates are included. October 2026 has 31 days: with a Saturday–Sunday weekend, 9 are weekend days and 22 are working days. Add 2 October as a holiday and it’s 21. A holiday that falls on a weekend isn’t subtracted twice.
Adding working days
The start date itself isn’t counted. With a Saturday–Sunday weekend, 1 working day after Friday 2 October 2026 is Monday 5 October, and 10 working days after it is Friday 16 October. Choose Subtract to count backwards, for example to find the last day to submit something before a deadline.
Weekends around the world
- Saturday and Sunday: India (most offices), the UAE since 2022, most of the world.
- Friday and Saturday: Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Egypt and Jordan.
- Sunday only: many shops, factories and schools in India.
- Friday only: some businesses in the Gulf.

Frequently asked questions
How many working days are there between two dates?
The calculator counts every day from the start date to the end date, both included, then leaves out weekends and the holidays you add. October 2026 has 22 working days with a Saturday–Sunday weekend.
Can I use a Friday–Saturday weekend?
Yes. Choose Saturday and Sunday, Friday and Saturday, Sunday only, Friday only, or a 7-day week.
How do I find the date 10 working days from today?
Choose “Add working days”, keep today’s date and enter 10. Today isn’t counted, so 1 working day after a Friday is the next Monday.
Does it know public holidays?
No, because they differ by country, state and employer. Add the ones that apply to you; holidays on a weekend are only counted once.
