About the jeopardy question generator

Writing a good review game takes time; this generator makes it quick. Type one line per question with its category, question and answer, and the board builds itself as you go. The order within each category sets the points: the first question is 100, the fifth is 500.

The host sheet lists every question and answer by category and value, so you can run the game from the front of the room or play it on paper.

Writing questions that work

  • Make the 100s easy enough that every team can score.
  • Keep each question to one short sentence that reads well aloud.
  • Accept sensible variations of the answer; note them on the host sheet.
  • Mix recall (“What is…?”) with thinking questions at 400 and 500.

One to four teams, each with its own colour and score. Rename them before you start.
