About the quiz generator
Write a quiz in plain text: a multiple-choice question is the question, the right answer and the wrong answers separated by bars (|); a true-or-false question is a statement followed by “| true” or “| false”. Mix both in one quiz.
Play it straight away on a phone or classroom screen, or download a worksheet with multiple-choice and true-or-false sections and an answer key on its own page.
Tips for good quiz questions
- Put the right answer first when you type; the quiz shuffles the options.
- Make wrong answers believable, not silly.
- Avoid “all of the above” and double negatives.
- Ten to fifteen questions is a good length for a lesson.
