About the name tracing worksheets
A child’s own name is usually the first word they learn to write. Type the name and the sheet fills with it: a solid model first, then dotted copies on handwriting lines with green starting dots.
Add several names, one per line, and they alternate down the page: handy for siblings, or print one per child in a class.

Frequently asked questions
Should names be in capitals?
Most teachers use a capital first letter and lowercase for the rest (Aarav, not AARAV), which is how children will read and write their name in school.
Can I make the letters bigger?
Yes. Choose large, medium or small writing. Large suits ages 3–5; small suits children who already write on lined paper.
Is the name tracing worksheets free?
Yes, with no signup or watermark. Everything is made in your browser.
Should I print in colour?
Colour isn’t needed. The guide lines are light pink and the tracing dots are grey, which both print clearly in black and white.
Which handwriting style is used?
A simple, unjoined school print with a single-storey a and g, close to the styles used in most early-years classrooms.
