About the number tracing worksheets
Each page shows a big number with its word, objects to count and colour, rows of dotted numbers to trace, and the number word to trace at the bottom. Counting the pictures links the written number to the quantity it stands for.
Numbers 11 to 20 are included for children who are ready.

Frequently asked questions
Why are some numbers written with a “flag” and some without?
The 1 has a small flag and a base so it’s not confused with a capital I or lowercase l; the other digits use simple shapes taught in most schools.
Should I print in colour?
Colour isn’t needed. The guide lines are light pink and the tracing dots are grey, which both print clearly in black and white.
Which handwriting style is used?
A simple, unjoined school print with a single-storey a and g, close to the styles used in most early-years classrooms.
Can I make the letters bigger?
Yes. Choose large, medium or small writing. Large suits ages 3–5; small suits children who already write on lined paper.
Is the number tracing worksheets free?
Yes, with no signup or watermark. Everything is made in your browser.
