About the tracing worksheets

Turn any words into handwriting practice: this week’s sight words, a short sentence, days of the week, or spelling words. Each line starts with a solid model, followed by dotted copies on four-line paper.

For the alphabet, numbers or names, use the dedicated tracing pages, which add pictures and one page per letter.

Frequently asked questions

Which characters can I use?

Letters A–Z and a–z, numbers, spaces and simple punctuation (. , ! ? - ’). Other characters are skipped.

Can I make the letters bigger?

Yes. Choose large, medium or small writing. Large suits ages 3–5; small suits children who already write on lined paper.

Should I print in colour?

Colour isn’t needed. The guide lines are light pink and the tracing dots are grey, which both print clearly in black and white.

Which handwriting style is used?

A simple, unjoined school print with a single-storey a and g, close to the styles used in most early-years classrooms.

Is the tracing worksheets free?

Yes, with no signup or watermark. Everything is made in your browser.
