About these pronouns worksheets

Pronouns stop writing from sounding repetitive: “Ravi said he was hungry” instead of “Ravi said Ravi was hungry”. These worksheets practise subject pronouns (I, he, they), object pronouns (me, him, them), possessives (my, mine, its) and the classic “my friend and I” versus “me”.

What the worksheet covers

The question bank for this topic has 8 find-the-word sentences, 12 choose-the-right-word sentences and 5 sentences to rewrite. Each worksheet mixes a selection, so no two are the same.

  • Question types: circle the words, choose the right word, correct the sentences.
  • Best for: grades 1–5 (ages 6–11).

Frequently asked questions

When do I use “I” and when “me”?

Use “I” when you are doing the action (My friend and I played) and “me” when the action is done to you (Mum gave it to me). Take the other person out of the sentence to check.

Can I print it in black and white?

Yes. The worksheet uses light tints that print clearly in grey, or pick the grey colour theme.

Is there an answer key?

Yes. Every worksheet ends with an answer key on its own page. Switch it off if you’re giving the sheet as a test.

Will every worksheet be the same?

No. Each tap of “New worksheet” picks a different mix of questions from the topic’s question bank, so you can give different versions to different students.

Can I choose the kinds of questions?

Yes. Switch each section on or off (matching, fill in the blanks, true or false, multiple choice and more) and choose how many questions go in each.
