About this reward chart
A reward chart helps a child work towards something they want by repeating a positive behaviour: using the potty, sleeping in their own bed, finishing homework, sharing. Each success earns a star to colour, and when the row is full, they get the reward you agreed together.
Keep the goal specific and the number of steps realistic for the child’s age; for young children, 5 to 10 stars is plenty.
What’s on the page
- A header with my goal, my reward.
- 20 stars to tick, colour or stick on.
Tips
- Agree the reward with the child before you start.
- Give the star straight away, with specific praise.
- Never take stars away; a missed day just means no star.
Made to fit, then printed
Everything on this reward chart can be changed before you print: the title, the colour, the paper size and orientation. The page is drawn on your device and nothing is uploaded. Find more printables.
Frequently asked questions
Do reward charts work?
For many children, yes, especially for one clear behaviour over a few weeks. Fade the chart out once the behaviour becomes a habit.
Can I remove the atifo.app line at the bottom?
Yes. Switch off “Show atifo.app credit” in the Look section and the PDF has no branding at all.
Can I fill in the reward chart on my phone or tablet?
Yes. Switch on “Fillable PDF” before downloading and the PDF gets typing boxes and tick boxes you can use in most PDF apps. Or print it and use a pen.
What paper size should I print on?
Choose A4 or US Letter before downloading, and print at 100% or “Actual size”. Portrait and landscape layouts are both available.
Will it print well in black and white?
Yes. The layout uses light fills and clear lines that print cleanly in grey. Choose the “Grey” colour to save colour ink entirely.
