About this gradebook

A gradebook is the teacher’s record of marks: students down the side, assessments across the top with the date and the maximum score, and a total or average at the end. Paste your class list and set the assessment names to print a gradebook page ready to fill in.

For calculations, keep a parallel copy with the create spreadsheet tool.

What’s on the page

  • A header with class, subject, term.
  • A tracker grid with a row for your students and a none for your assessments.

Tips

  • Write the maximum mark at the top of each column.
  • Record marks as soon as work is marked.
  • Use a symbol for missing work so it’s chased up.

Made to fit, then printed

Everything on this gradebook can be changed before you print: the title, the students, the colour, the paper size and orientation. The page is drawn on your device and nothing is uploaded. Find more printables.

Frequently asked questions

Can I keep the gradebook digitally?

Switch on “Fillable PDF” to type marks into the PDF, or use the create spreadsheet tool for automatic totals.

What paper size should I print on?

Choose A4 or US Letter before downloading, and print at 100% or “Actual size”. Portrait and landscape layouts are both available.

Will it print well in black and white?

Yes. The layout uses light fills and clear lines that print cleanly in grey. Choose the “Grey” colour to save colour ink entirely.

Can I remove the atifo.app line at the bottom?

Yes. Switch off “Show atifo.app credit” in the Look section and the PDF has no branding at all.

Can I change the students?

Yes. Type your own, one per line, and the page updates as you type. Leave a line empty to remove it.
