Create a spreadsheet
Blank or from a template, saved as a real Excel file.
Processed in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
How to create a spreadsheet
- 1
Pick a template, such as Monthly budget or Attendance register, or start blank.
- 2
Fill in your data; totals and counts update when the file is opened in Excel or Sheets.
- 3
Name the file and download it as .xlsx.
Ready-made sheets with formulas
A good template saves the fiddly part: headers, column widths, number formats and formulas. Pick one, fill in your figures and download a real Excel file that opens in Excel, Google Sheets, LibreOffice and WPS Office.
Create a spreadsheet online from scratch or start from an Excel template free, such as a budget template Excel or attendance sheet Excel, and make XLSX online.
Templates
- Monthly budget: income and expense categories with planned and actual amounts, a difference column and totals, formatted in rupees.
- Expense tracker: date, description, category and payment mode (cash, UPI, card), with a running total.
- Attendance register: roll number, name and a column for each day of the month. Type P or A, and the present and absent counts are calculated for you. Handy for tuition classes, schools and small offices.
- Task list: task, owner, due date, priority and status.
- Blank sheet: start from scratch.
The header row of each template is frozen, so it stays visible as you scroll in Excel.
Editing
Tap a cell and type. Use the toolbar to add rows and columns, sort, and make text bold, and the sheet tabs to add more sheets. You can type formulas like =SUM(B2:B20) or =AVERAGE(C2:C10); they’re calculated when the file is opened in your spreadsheet app.
Download
Name the file and download it as .xlsx, or the current sheet as CSV. Nothing is stored online; the spreadsheet exists only in your browser until you download it. To bill clients instead, try the invoice generator.
Frequently asked questions
What templates are available?
A monthly budget with planned vs actual and totals, an expense tracker with a running total, a 31-day attendance register that counts present and absent days, and a task list. All use real formulas.
Will the file open in Google Sheets?
Yes. Upload the .xlsx to Google Drive and open it with Google Sheets, or open it in Excel, LibreOffice or WPS Office.
Why don’t totals change while I type?
The editor stores formulas but doesn’t recalculate them; Excel, Sheets and LibreOffice recalculate everything when the file opens. The saved file is marked so this happens automatically.
Is my data stored online?
No. The spreadsheet exists only in your browser until you download it.
