About this curriculum planner

A curriculum planner (or curriculum map) is the long-term plan: which units are taught when, across the year. Rows can be subjects or strands and columns months or terms, so you can balance the load, avoid clashes with exams and holidays, and share the plan with colleagues.

Break each unit down with the unit planner.

What’s on the page

  • A header with class, year, teacher.
  • A tracker grid with a row for your subjects or strands and a none for your months or terms.

Tips

  • Plan backwards from board exams and assessment weeks.
  • Leave buffer weeks for revision and events.
  • Share with colleagues teaching the same grade.

Made to fit, then printed

Everything on this curriculum planner can be changed before you print: the title, the subjects or strands, the colour, the paper size and orientation. The page is drawn on your device and nothing is uploaded. Find more printables.

Frequently asked questions

Can I plan by term instead of month?

Yes. Edit the column list to “Term 1”, “Term 2” and so on.

Can I change the subjects or strands?

Yes. Type your own, one per line, and the page updates as you type. Leave a line empty to remove it.

Will it print well in black and white?

Yes. The layout uses light fills and clear lines that print cleanly in grey. Choose the “Grey” colour to save colour ink entirely.

Can I fill in the curriculum planner on my phone or tablet?

Yes. Switch on “Fillable PDF” before downloading and the PDF gets typing boxes and tick boxes you can use in most PDF apps. Or print it and use a pen.

Can I remove the atifo.app line at the bottom?

Yes. Switch off “Show atifo.app credit” in the Look section and the PDF has no branding at all.
