About this classroom sign-out sheet
A sign-out sheet records every time a student leaves the room: where they’re going, when they left and when they came back. In an emergency you know exactly who is out, and patterns of frequent trips are easy to spot.
Pair it with printed hall passes or bathroom passes.
What’s on the page
- A header with class or room, week of.
- A table with columns for Date, Student, Going to, Time out, Time back.
Tips
- Students write the time from the classroom clock.
- One student out at a time keeps it manageable.
- Review weekly for repeated long absences.
Made to fit, then printed
Everything on this classroom sign-out sheet can be changed before you print: the title, the colour, the paper size and orientation. The page is drawn on your device and nothing is uploaded. Find more printables.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a hall pass?
It’s the log that goes with one. Print the hall pass or bathroom pass for students to carry.
What paper size should I print on?
Choose A4 or US Letter before downloading, and print at 100% or “Actual size”. Portrait and landscape layouts are both available.
Can I fill in the classroom sign-out sheet on my phone or tablet?
Yes. Switch on “Fillable PDF” before downloading and the PDF gets typing boxes and tick boxes you can use in most PDF apps. Or print it and use a pen.
Can I remove the atifo.app line at the bottom?
Yes. Switch off “Show atifo.app credit” in the Look section and the PDF has no branding at all.
Will it print well in black and white?
Yes. The layout uses light fills and clear lines that print cleanly in grey. Choose the “Grey” colour to save colour ink entirely.
