About this goal planner

A goal is more likely to happen when it’s written down, broken into milestones and checked regularly. This goal planner walks through the essentials: the goal itself, why it matters to you, the milestones and their dates, what might get in the way, and how you’ll reward yourself.

The progress tracker at the bottom has a box for each month, so the page also works as a goal tracker you review regularly.

What’s on the page

  • Labelled boxes for My goal, Why it matters.
  • Milestones: a table with columns for Step, Deadline, Done.
  • Labelled boxes for Possible obstacles, How I’ll overcome them, Support I need, My reward.
  • Monthly progress: a tracker grid with a row for Progress and a circle for each month.

Tips

  • Make the goal specific and measurable: “Run 5 km without stopping by March”.
  • Write the first step you can take this week.
  • Review the page on the same day every month.

Made to fit, then printed

Everything on this goal planner can be changed before you print: the title, the colour, the paper size and orientation. The page is drawn on your device and nothing is uploaded. Find more printables.

Frequently asked questions

What is a SMART goal?

Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound. The planner’s questions lead you through each of these.

Can I remove the atifo.app line at the bottom?

Yes. Switch off “Show atifo.app credit” in the Look section and the PDF has no branding at all.

What paper size should I print on?

Choose A4 or US Letter before downloading, and print at 100% or “Actual size”. Portrait and landscape layouts are both available.

Can I fill in the goal planner on my phone or tablet?

Yes. Switch on “Fillable PDF” before downloading and the PDF gets typing boxes and tick boxes you can use in most PDF apps. Or print it and use a pen.

Will it print well in black and white?

Yes. The layout uses light fills and clear lines that print cleanly in grey. Choose the “Grey” colour to save colour ink entirely.
