About this student goal sheet
Goal setting is a skill students can learn. This sheet asks for one learning goal and one personal goal, the steps to get there, who can help, and how they’ll know they’ve succeeded. Weekly check-in boxes keep the goal alive after the first enthusiastic day.
Use it at the start of term or after report cards.
What’s on the page
- A header with name, date.
- Labelled boxes for My learning goal, My personal goal, Steps I will take, Steps I will take, Who can help me, Who can help me.
- Weekly check-in: a tracker grid with a row for Learning goal, Personal goal and a star for Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4, Week 5, Week 6.
Tips
- Model a goal of your own first.
- Keep goals small enough to reach in a few weeks.
- Revisit the sheet at each check-in.

Frequently asked questions
What age is this for?
About ages 8 to 14. Younger children can draw their goal and talk it through with an adult.
Will it print well in black and white?
Yes. The layout uses light fills and clear lines that print cleanly in grey. Choose the “Grey” colour to save colour ink entirely.
What paper size should I print on?
Choose A4 or US Letter before downloading, and print at 100% or “Actual size”. Portrait and landscape layouts are both available.
Can I fill in the student goal sheet on my phone or tablet?
Yes. Switch on “Fillable PDF” before downloading and the PDF gets typing boxes and tick boxes you can use in most PDF apps. Or print it and use a pen.
Can I remove the atifo.app line at the bottom?
Yes. Switch off “Show atifo.app credit” in the Look section and the PDF has no branding at all.
