Turn PDF pages into pictures

Sometimes a PDF is the wrong format. Messaging apps show images instantly but make people download PDFs. Social posts, slides and websites need pictures. Some upload forms only accept JPG. PDF to JPG renders each page as a high-quality image you can use anywhere.

Convert PDF to JPEG (JPG) images, one per page. Use PDF to image when you need a PDF to photo for WhatsApp, Instagram or a form that accepts only images.

Choose the right resolution

  • 72 DPI: small and quick, fine for previews and thumbnails.
  • 150 DPI: recommended. Sharp on phone and laptop screens, with reasonable file sizes.
  • 300 DPI: print quality, for zooming into fine detail or printing pages as photos.

As you change settings, Atifo shows the image size in pixels and an estimate of the total download size, so there are no surprises.

Quality without the bloat

The JPG quality slider controls compression. Around 85% looks identical to 100% for most documents at a fraction of the size. Lower it when you need very small files, or raise it for photo-heavy pages.

Only the pages you need

Convert the whole document, or choose Choose pages and tap the ones you want, such as a single chart from a long report. Several images arrive together in one ZIP, numbered in page order.

Built for large documents

Pages are rendered one at a time, and each is released from memory before the next starts. A long PDF converts smoothly even on an older phone, and you can cancel at any point.

Stays on your device

Rendering happens in your browser using the open-source PDF.js engine. Your PDF is never uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

Which DPI should I choose?

150 DPI is sharp on phones and laptops and keeps files small. Use 300 DPI for printing or zooming in on fine detail, and 72 DPI for quick previews.

Can I convert only some pages?

Yes. Choose “Choose pages” and tap the pages you want. Only those are converted.

Why is the text in my JPG not selectable?

A JPG is a picture of the page, so text becomes part of the image. To copy the text, keep the PDF.

Can I convert a PDF with editing restrictions?

Yes. PDFs that open without a password but block editing can still be converted. Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first.

Why are some pages slightly smaller than the DPI I picked?

Phones limit how big an image can be. Unusually large pages are scaled down just enough to stay within that limit, and the result screen tells you when this happens.
