Mark documents before you share them
A watermark tells everyone where a document came from and how it should be treated: “DRAFT” on work in progress, “CONFIDENTIAL” on internal reports, “COPY” on documents you hand out, or your logo on a portfolio. It also discourages people from passing your work off as their own.

Text or logo
- Text watermarks are drawn with your device’s fonts, so any language works, from English to Hindi to Arabic. Choose bold or regular, and one of four colours.
- Logo watermarks use a PNG, JPG or WebP image. A PNG with a transparent background gives the cleanest result.
Placement that suits the document
Use opacity to keep the content readable underneath. Around 20–30% suits most documents. Rotation sets the classic diagonal look. Place the mark in any of nine positions, or switch on Repeat across the page to tile it, which makes it much harder to crop out of a screenshot.
See it before you save
The live preview shows the watermark exactly as it will appear, on any page you choose. Flip through pages to check it doesn’t hide important content, and apply it to every page or only the ones you pick.
Lightweight and private
The watermark image is stored once in the PDF and reused on every page, so even long documents stay small. Everything happens in your browser, and your files never leave your device.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use my company logo as a watermark?
Yes. Choose “Image / logo” and pick a PNG, JPG or WebP file. PNG logos with transparent backgrounds look best.
What does “Repeat across the page” do?
It tiles your watermark over the whole page, so it can’t simply be cropped out of a screenshot or scan.
Can I watermark only some pages?
Yes. Choose “Choose pages” and enter pages like “1-3, 8”. Other pages are left unchanged.
Can the watermark be in my language?
Yes. Text watermarks are drawn with your device’s fonts, so Hindi, Tamil, Arabic and other scripts work.
Can someone remove the watermark?
A watermark discourages copying but isn’t a lock. Someone with editing software could remove it. Tiling the watermark across the page makes that much harder.
