Change text case: uppercase to lowercase, title case converter, sentence case and more.
Which case to use
- Sentence case capitalizes the first letter of each sentence. It’s the most readable choice for normal writing and the quickest fix for Caps Lock accidents.
- Title Case follows headline style: important words are capitalized while short words such as “of”, “and” and “the” stay lowercase, except at the start or end.
- Capitalize Each Word capitalizes every word, which suits names and labels.
- UPPERCASE and lowercase do exactly what they say.
For developers and spreadsheets
camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case and CONSTANT_CASE convert names for code, database columns, file names and URLs. Each line is converted on its own, so you can paste a whole column of field names and convert them in one go. Existing camelCase is split correctly, so “firstName” becomes “first_name”.
Smart about exceptions
Acronyms like NASA and brand names with inner capitals like iPhone are left alone in title case. Text in other alphabets, such as Greek or Cyrillic, converts too.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Title Case and Capitalize Each?
Title Case follows headline style: small words like “of”, “and” and “the” stay lowercase unless they start or end the title. Capitalize Each Word capitalizes every word.
I typed a paragraph with CAPS LOCK on. How do I fix it?
Paste it in and choose Sentence case. Each sentence starts with a capital and the rest becomes lowercase, and “i” on its own becomes “I”.
Does Title Case keep acronyms like NASA?
Yes. Words written entirely in capitals, and words with capitals inside like iPhone, are left as they are.
What are camelCase, snake_case and kebab-case for?
They are naming styles used in programming, file names and URLs. Each line is converted separately, so you can convert a whole list of field names at once.
