A simple word processor in your browser
Sometimes you just need to write a letter, an application or a short report and save it as a Word file, without installing anything or creating an account. This editor gives you the essentials: headings, bold and italic, lists, tables, pictures, links and page breaks. It saves standard .docx files that open in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice and WPS Office.
A simple online word processor: write a document online free and make a DOCX file. It works as a DOCX maker on any phone.
Start from a template
- Letter: sender and recipient blocks, date, subject line and closing.
- Report: title, summary, background, findings and recommendations.
- Meeting notes: date and attendees, agenda, notes and an action-items table.
- Blank document for anything else.
Replace the placeholder text with your own and delete what you don’t need.
Formatting tips
Use Heading 1 for the title and Heading 2 for sections. Headings make documents easier to scan, and Word uses them to build a table of contents. Inside a table, use the row and column buttons that appear in the toolbar to grow it. Photos are resized automatically so the document stays a sensible size.
Download as Word or PDF
Choose Word (.docx) to keep editing later, or PDF to send a final version. You can also save as a web page or plain text. Your document never leaves your device, and the page warns you before you close it with changes you haven’t downloaded.
For formal letters with ready-written wording, try the letter generator. For a CV, use the resume builder.
Frequently asked questions
Will the .docx open in Microsoft Word and Google Docs?
Yes. Atifo creates standard Word files that open in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice, WPS Office and Pages.
Is my writing saved automatically?
No. Nothing is stored or uploaded. Download the file when you’re done; you’ll be warned if you try to leave with changes you haven’t downloaded.
Can I add tables and pictures?
Yes. Insert a table and add rows or columns as you go, and insert photos from your phone or computer. Large photos are resized to keep the file small.
Can I write in Hindi?
In .docx and HTML, yes: any language your keyboard can type is saved correctly. The PDF option currently supports Latin-alphabet languages only.
