About these division worksheets

Division builds on times tables, so these worksheets start with division facts to 12 × 12 and move up to long division of 2-, 3- and 4-digit numbers. Choose whether answers divide exactly or leave remainders, and whether to print a long-division bracket with room to work.

Remainders are written as “r”, for example 47 ÷ 5 = 9 r 2.

Settings you can change

Each sheet has 24 questions by default (from 6 to 60), a name, date and score line, and an answer key on a separate page. Best for grades 3–6 (ages 8–12).

  • Type: Division facts (to 12 × 12), 2 digits ÷ 1 digit, 3 digits ÷ 1 digit, 4 digits ÷ 1 digit, 3 digits ÷ 2 digits.
  • Remainders: No remainders, With remainders.
  • Layout: In a line, Long division.

Teaching tips

  • Check answers by multiplying back and adding the remainder.
  • For long division, teach the steps: divide, multiply, subtract, bring down.
  • Use exact division sheets before introducing remainders.

New questions every time

The questions are written by rules on your device, not picked from a fixed sheet, so every tap of “New worksheet” gives a different set. Nothing is uploaded. Explore all math worksheets.

Frequently asked questions

Can I print long division with a bracket?

Yes. Choose “Long division” in Layout and each problem is printed with the division bracket and space to work below.

Is it really free to print?

Yes. There’s no signup and no limit. The worksheets are generated on your device, and you can use them at home or in class.

Which grades are these worksheets for?

Grades 3–6 (ages 8–12), depending on the settings you choose. Switch on “Big print” for younger children.

What is the worksheet code?

Every sheet prints a short code. Typing the same code with the same settings rebuilds exactly the same questions, so you can reprint a sheet later or share the code with another teacher.

Can I make a different division worksheet for each student?

Yes. Tap “New worksheet” for a fresh set of questions with the same settings. Each sheet has its own answer key, so you can hand out different versions.
