Fix sideways photos for good

Phones store how a photo should be turned as a small note inside the file. Galleries follow that note, but some websites, printers and older apps ignore it, so the photo appears sideways or upside down. Rotating here saves the pixels the right way round, so the image looks correct everywhere, with no hidden note required.

Rotate a photo or picture online, or flip an image to mirror it.

One image or a whole batch

Each image has its own rotate and flip buttons, and the buttons at the top apply a change to every image at once. That’s handy when a whole set of scans or document photos came out turned the same way. The previews show exactly what will be saved.

Rotate vs flip

  • Rotate turns the image 90° left or right. Tap twice for 180°.
  • Flip ↔ mirrors it left to right, for example to un-mirror a selfie or fix text that reads backwards.
  • Flip ↕ mirrors it top to bottom.

Quality

The rotation itself is exact: no pixels are blended or lost. JPG and WebP files are saved again at high quality, and PNG files stay lossless.

To straighten a document photo and trim its edges, use Crop image after rotating. For pages inside a PDF, use Rotate PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my photo look sideways in some apps?

Phones often save photos sideways with a note saying “rotate this when showing it”. Some apps ignore the note. Rotating here saves the pixels the right way up, so the photo looks correct everywhere.

How do I mirror a selfie?

Tap the flip button under the image (the two triangles). The result is saved as a mirror image.

Does rotating lose quality?

The rotation itself is exact. JPG and WebP files are saved again at high quality (92%), which looks identical, and PNG stays lossless.

Can I rotate many images at once?

Yes. Add up to 50 images and use “Left”, “Right” or the flip buttons at the top to change them all together.
