Why watermark your photos
A watermark shows who owns an image and discourages people from reusing it without asking. Photographers, artists and online sellers use them on previews and listings. They’re also smart for ID copies: writing “For bank account opening only” across a scan of your ID makes it far less useful to anyone who misuses it.
Add a watermark to a photo or add a logo to a photo before sharing. Watermark photos online in a batch, with your photo watermark placed and sized consistently.
Text or logo
Type your name, website or a note, choose a colour, and decide whether it should be bold. Or choose a logo image. PNGs with transparent backgrounds look best, and empty edges are trimmed automatically.
Placement that scales
Size and margins are set as a percentage of each image’s width, so the watermark looks the same on a small phone photo and a large camera image in the same batch. Pick one of nine positions, or switch on Repeat across the image to tile it over the whole picture so it can’t be cropped out.
Getting the balance right
- Opacity around 30–60% keeps the photo visible while the mark stays readable.
- A slight angle such as −30° makes tiled text harder to remove.
- White text works on dark photos, grey or black on bright ones.
The live preview uses the same drawing code as the final file, so what you see is what you download. For documents, use Watermark PDF.
Frequently asked questions
Will the watermark look the same on every photo?
Yes. Size and spacing are set as a percentage of each image’s width, so the watermark looks the same on small and large photos in the same batch.
How do I stop people from cropping out my watermark?
Switch on “Repeat across the image”. The watermark is tiled over the whole photo, so it can’t simply be cut off from a corner.
Can I use my logo?
Yes. Choose Logo and pick a PNG, JPG or WebP image. A PNG with a transparent background looks best. Empty edges are trimmed automatically.
Is watermarking an ID copy a good idea?
Yes. Adding text like “For bank KYC only, 2026” to a copy of your ID makes it harder to misuse. Use a repeated watermark at around 30% opacity so the details stay readable.
