About this printable
Eight pictures of the things that make Chhath Puja special: the sun rising over a river ghat with sugarcane and diyas, a bamboo soop (winnowing basket) with bananas, a coconut and thekua, a plate of thekua, a bamboo daura with sugarcane, diyas floating on the water, a sugarcane canopy over a clay pot, seasonal fruits at sunrise and a diya rangoli.
Chhath Puja is the festival where offerings, or arghya, are made to both the setting and the rising sun. The pictures show the sun, the water and the offerings rather than any religious figure.
