About this printable
A checklist in four parts: the menu (main dish, sides, sauces, bread and desserts), what to do two weeks before (guest list, diets and allergies, ordering), the day before (shopping, thawing, chopping, setting the table) and on the day.
Every line is editable, so you can swap turkey for a vegetarian main, add family recipes or remove what you don’t need.
What’s included
- Menu: Turkey or main dish, Stuffing, Mashed potatoes, Gravy, Cranberry sauce, Green vegetables, Bread rolls, Pumpkin pie, Drinks.
- Two weeks before: Confirm the guest list, Ask about allergies and diets, Order the turkey or main dish, Plan who brings what.

- On the day: Put the main dish in the oven, Cook the sides, Warm the bread, Make the gravy, Take a family photo.
Tips
- A large frozen turkey takes several days to thaw safely in the fridge, so start early.

About the festival
Thanksgiving Day in the United States is a national holiday on the fourth Thursday of November. A law signed on 26 December 1941 fixed that date; families traditionally share a harvest meal and give thanks.

Frequently asked questions
Can I plan a vegetarian Thanksgiving?
Yes. Edit the menu lines; nothing is fixed.
Does it fit on one page?
Yes, on A4 or Letter with the default items; longer lists continue onto a second page.
Is there an invitation to match?
Yes. The Thanksgiving dinner invitation uses the same autumn artwork.
Which paper should I use?
Plain A4 or US Letter paper works. For cards, card stock of about 160–200 gsm folds and stands better; for paint or markers, thicker paper stops colours bleeding through.
