About this printable
Fifteen Christmas words, from snowman and reindeer to tinsel and sleigh, hidden in a grid that is rebuilt every time you tap “New puzzle”. Easy puzzles use a 10 × 10 grid with words across and down; medium adds diagonals on a 13 × 13 grid; hard hides all fifteen words in every direction, even backwards.
Every PDF has an answer key on a second page, with each word highlighted, so a teacher or parent can check quickly.
What’s included
- Words: Snowman, Reindeer, Stocking, Ornament, Wreath, Candle, Present, Holly, Tinsel, Sleigh, Carol, Star, Bells, Cookies, Mittens.
Tips
- Print a different puzzle for each table so neighbours can’t share answers.
- Add your class’s names or local words to the list for a personal puzzle.
- Leave out the answer key page when you print for a competition.

Frequently asked questions
How many words are in each puzzle?
Easy uses 8 words, medium 12 and hard all 15 (or as many as fit if you add longer words).
Can I use my own words?
Yes. Edit the list, one word per line. Spaces and punctuation are ignored in the grid.
Is there an answer key?
Yes. It’s on its own page with every word highlighted; switch it off if you don’t need it.
Which paper should I use?
Plain A4 or US Letter paper works. For cards, card stock of about 160–200 gsm folds and stands better; for paint or markers, thicker paper stops colours bleeding through.
